Concentration micrographs of 10 μ m thick tumor samples embedded in paraffin wax after a) not being treated, and b) being treated with a 5 mM MMC injection before removal. The white line denotes the outer boundary of the tissue area, while the color map indicates the concentration of MMC at specific locations. Since only 5 mM MMC was injected, any concentrations higher than this are purely artifacts caused by light scattering.
