From: Trastuzumab-resistant breast cancer cells-derived tumor xenograft models exhibit distinct sensitivity to lapatinib treatment in vivo

Lapatinib treatment markedly increased p-Akt levels and enhanced IRS1 expression in the tumors-derived from BT474-HR20, but not SKBR3-pool2 cells. The FFPE slides of BT474-HR20 (A) or SKBR3-pool2 (B) tumors were analyzed with IHC staining assays for p-Akt (Ser473) or IRS1. The IHC staining was evaluated by two individuals independently and quantified with ImageJ and ImageJ plugin IHC profiler. The average staining intensity of three random field of each slide was plotted and shown as bar graphs on the right. The data were statistically analyzed with two-sided student’s t tests.
